It lays flat on the gutter system and is reinforced with the systems hangers, virtually not visible from the ground, this product does not interrupt the shingles or roofing material,which means it will not void your roofs warranty . Gutter Topper- is a high end, franchised product that is very comparable to Gutter Helmet. This product is marketed to keep everything out of the gutter system, sometimes this may include water if in the event you ever lean a ladder up against your gutters and cause the topper to get out of adjustment, or if something from a tree falls on it and dings the topper, it could cause water to cascade during a storm. This product is designed to be installed under the second row of shingles and on the front of the gutter system. When installing under the shingles, most of the time the seal on the shingle needs to be broken, and then fastened down through the roof deck.
